The Ancestors Must Be Smiling

This photograph was in one of Tamar's scrapbooks and appeared in the Long Island Press, Monday July 19th, 1971. The caption from the article has been reproduced here verbatim.

A KICK AT ARTHRITS: Mrs. Barbara Rivero of Elmhurst, a former Rockette, gives a symbolic kick at arthritis after the Rockette Alumnae donated the proceeds of their annual dinner-dance to the Arthritis Fund. Looking on is Dr. Bernard Rogoff of Forest Hills, who has long been involved in arthritis treatment and research at the Hospital For Special Surgery. Mrs. Rivero, who danced under the name Bijou Baxter, is a licensed practical nurse at the hospital and has spent many hours teaching dancing in the cerebral palsy clinic.
